America's power grid wasn't ready for AI, and we're all going to feel it

AI data centers are consuming electricity so fast that America's aging power grid can't keep up. Grid operators saw load growth hit 4% last year - roughly four times the historical norm - and the regulatory system is nowhere near ready for it.
