June is basically Christmas for design nerds, and if you're not already panic-booking flights and clearing your calendar, here's your wake-up call. Dezeen's Events Guide has rounded up eight architecture and design events happening this month, and the lineup is genuinely stacked.

A world tour for your eyeballs

Let's start with the heavy hitters. The UIA World Congress of Architects is the kind of event that only rolls around every few years, gathering the global architecture community for what amounts to the Olympics of built-environment discourse. If you care even slightly about where urbanism is headed, this is the room to be in.

Meanwhile, the London Festival of Architecture is doing what it does best - turning the entire city into an excuse to think about space, structure, and why that building on your commute looks the way it does. It's sprawling, it's free in many parts, and it rewards wandering.

The ones that deserve more hype

SXSW London is making its presence felt, bringing that chaotic, ideas-colliding energy from Austin to the UK capital. Design, tech, culture - it all blurs together in the best possible way, running from the 1st of the month and pulling in a crowd that loves a crossover moment.

Then there's NeoCon, the commercial interiors world's biggest annual gathering, which quietly influences more of the spaces you inhabit daily than you'd probably guess. Office chairs, lighting systems, flooring - unglamorous on paper, genuinely fascinating in practice.

For something with a more artistic, boutique feel, the Fiskars Village Art and Design Biennale in Finland offers a completely different vibe - think craft, community, and the kind of intentional slowness that makes you want to move to Scandinavia immediately.

Asia and America round it out

Orgatec Tokyo brings the world-renowned workplace design fair to Japan, which already feels like a natural home for obsessive attention to functional aesthetics. And San Francisco Design Week is doing its thing on the West Coast, celebrating the city's particular blend of tech-forward thinking and genuine creative culture.

Finally, 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen rounds out the list - because of course Copenhagen is on this list. It always is. Rightfully so.

Eight events, one month, infinite excuses to justify a last-minute trip somewhere. You're welcome. Full details on each event are available through Dezeen's Events Guide.
